Francky Lukanda

Francky LUKANDA is a Partner at Ofori Law Africa LLP, where he leads the Banking & Finance, Infrastructure, and Natural Resources practices.

With nearly twenty years of experience, he advises multinational corporations, international financial institutions, investment funds, and public entities on complex transactions and strategic projects across the OHADA, UEMOA, and CEMAC regions, as well as in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

His practice focuses primarily on project finance as well as the structuring and execution of transactions in the infrastructure, energy, and natural resources sectors.He has notably advised leading international institutions and companies such as Standard Chartered, International Finance Corporation, TotalEnergies, GE Vernova, Anglo American, Marriott International, Rabobank, DEME Group, and Amethis, as well as several African states on major projects in the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors.

Prior to joining Ofori Law Africa LLP, he served as Team Leader of the Abidjan office of DLA Piper Africa. He has also held legal counsel roles with the African Legal Support Facility and the African Development Bank, where he worked on cross-border transactions and large-scale development projects across the continent.

Recognized for his strategic and business-oriented approach, Francky LUKANDA combines strong transactional expertise with a deep understanding of African regulatory and economic environments.

He is also the author of numerous publications on project finance, mining law, corporate M&A, employment law, and data protection in Francophone Africa.
